The ambient cello is a collection of recordings of me playing the cello. I stuck a tuner on the cello to make sure I stayed in tune and played two different articulations; col legno (bowed), and tremolo. I wanted to get a couple of different textures going on. We took the samples and chucked them through some of my favourite effect chains. Exported the resulting sounds and then mapped them all out within Kontakt.

I wanted to create my own ambient piano that I could use as a "distant" piano in the first acts of my trailer music. These samples were recorded in a church and then given some extra reverb love to create the lush pads that underpin the piano.

I recorded my tenor Ukulele with my thumb (the fleshy bit), my nails, and my plectrum. I then took those sounds and created some beautiful washes that can be layered in any combination of your choice, giving it that wonderful cinematic flavour.

A cinematic pad made from recordings of a Euphonium and Bass Trombone. I made these to use in my Throat tracks but actually ended up using them on a ton of stuff as they are some excellent cinematic pads.

This is the collection of all of my own previously unreleased sample libraries. I created these to have my own library of sounds that no one else would have, and because I love creating my own libraries and sounds.

An entire string orchestra playing a really slow riser. That's it. Insanely simple but amazingly effective. I have used this on a huge amount of my trailer music tracks and it seems to be the magic dust to sprinkle over a cue that adds organic warmth, tension and intensity. It's so useful!
